Job summary

CMD Recruitment is recruiting a Waste Collection LGV Driver/Loader in Salisbury on a temporary/ongoing basis. You will drive the recycling vehicle, perform safety checks, and work with the team to meet collection schedules. Manual handling may be required and customer interaction is expected.

Ideal candidates should have a clean Class 2 license, CPC and Tacho Card, with a proactive, team-oriented approach. Training and health & safety induction will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must have clean Class 2 license CPC and Tacho Card.
• Physically fit for manual handling activities.
• Good communication and administrative skills.
• Experience in waste transport or recycling is a plus.
• A driving assessment is part of the recruitment process.
• Training and a health and safety induction will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Drive the recycling vehicle and carry out vehicle safety checks.
• Work with the collection team to ensure kerbside collections are on schedule.
• Assist loaders with waste removal when required.
• Interact with customers and the public in a professional manner.
