Job summary

ERS Recruiting Ltd. seeks an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to operate a vacuum excavator at Sizewell, IP16 4UR. Training will be provided. Role offers varied days with pay for 10 hours even on shorter days, and a guaranteed minimum of 50 hours per week.

The position requires a valid HGV Class 1/2 licence, safe driving record, and experience on construction sites. You will liaise with dispatch and plant teams to meet schedules and site safety standards.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence with a clean driving record.
• Experience as a commercial driver on construction sites preferred.
• Ability to perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report defects promptly.
• Commitment to safety, punctuality, and professionalism on site.
• Physically capable of handling hoses and equipment on site.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV Class 1 or Class 2 vacuum excavator, complying with road safety and company policies.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Adhere to scheduled routes and delivery times; manage routes efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, well-maintained vehicle in line with HSE standards.
• Communicate effectively with the Plant team regarding schedules and issues on site.
