Driver Hire Norwich is recruiting for a Class 2 Vacuum Tanker Driver in Norwich. Permanent full-time role with a salary of £35,000–£40,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

You will operate a fixed wheelbase 18-tonne vacuum tanker, perform septic tank emptying, cleaning and jetting on local routes with no nights out, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining safety and vehicle standards.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence is required.
• Vacuum tanker experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of septic tanks and private foul drainage systems is desirable.
• Strong understanding of road transport legislation and safe driving practices.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 vacuum tanker safely and efficiently.
• Empty septic tanks and perform associated cleaning/jetting work.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Complete delivery notes, vehicle logs and paperwork.
• Maintain a clean, professional vehicle and present a positive image to customers.
• Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues and dispatch.
• Comply with health and safety procedures at all times.

Are you an experienced Class 2 Driver looking for a role that offers stability, independence and variety?

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established local business for a Class 2 Vacuum Tanker Driver to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous vacuum tanker experience who enjoys working independently, providing excellent customer service and taking pride in their work.

The Role

You'll be operating a fixed wheelbase 18-tonne vacuum tanker, carrying out septic tank emptying, cleaning and jetting work across the local area.

Work will be carried out at residential and commercial properties.

This role requires a professional driver who can represent the business positively when dealing with customers and who takes a proactive approach to vehicle care, safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a Class 2 vacuum tanker safely and efficiently

• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
• Accurately completing delivery notes, vehicle logs and related paperwork

What We're Looking For
