Class 2 HIAB Driver – remote grab
ST14 8SW
Permanent role – ASAP – Monday to Friday

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000p/annum, dependant on experience.

Shift patterns: 7/8am starts – 4-5pm finish, Monday‑Friday, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Safely operating a HIAB-equipped vehicle with crane and grab for loading and unloading goods.
  • Using crane or grab to handle heavy and bulky items on various job sites.
  • Operating a flat‑bed 6m connected with a drawer bar – attaching extra trailer when needed.
  • Assisting or conducting tank positioning as required.
  • Responsible for all paperwork (vehicle info, delivery notes, return notes, e‑signatures, etc.) and submitting upon return to head office.
  • Ensuring the safe operation and maintenance of the HIAB crane.
  • Performing detailed checks to ensure load is secure prior to departure.
  • Delivering/collecting materials as per route planner/labour on sites.
  • Conducting daily HGV inspections to ensure vehicle is fit for purpose.
  • Ensuring quality control procedures are strictly adhered to.
  • Ensuring compliance with the company Health & Safety Policy.
  • Ensuring the correct PPE is worn at all times where applicable.
  • Uploading all digital tacho information to your driver card.
  • Working collaboratively with the picking and loading team to load vehicles accurately, safely, with correct orders and on time as per multi‑drop load list.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Possession of HGV Class 2 (C) license, Driver CPC & DIGI cards, and in‑date HIAB license.
  • No more than 6 points on your licence for insurance purposes (no BA/CD/CU/DR/DD/IN offences).
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, flexibility, upbeat, self‑motivated and resilient.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
