Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Class 2 HGV driver for a permanent role in Ipswich. You will deliver wood pellets across the South East using 32 tonne Class 2 trucks, with a typical 47-hour week and occasional overnight stays. The role offers a base salary of £39,000 plus overtime and a £7,500 bonus potential, with an OTE around £45k and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience as an HGV driver.
• Valid Class 2 licence.
• Reliable and able to plan routes across the South East.

Responsibilities

• Deliver wood products to customers across the South East.
• Operate 32 tonne Class 2 trucks.
• Work ~47 hours per week with very occasional overnight stays.
• Overtime paid at 1.5x; potential extra 10–20 hours weekly in busy periods.
