Job summary

Lineage Logistics in Peterborough is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 rigid driver to join our depot team. You will carry out multi-drop deliveries, support the Transport Manager, and ensure all vehicles are roadworthy and compliant with tachograph rules.

The role offers an hourly rate of £16.54, with overtime paid at time and a half after 39 hours per week, and a permanent opportunity with a direct employer.

Qualifications

• 12 months Class 2 driving experience required.
• Valid Class 2 license, Digi-Tacho, DQC card and Driver CPC.
• Good knowledge of current Road Transport Regulations.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Transport Manager to ensure smooth operation.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Carry out multi-drop deliveries in a timely and safe manner.
• Load/unload and secure goods; check goods with customers and obtain signatures.
• Drive safely, within tachograph limits and legal requirements.
