Job summary

Driver Hire Sheffield is seeking an experienced Class 2 Driver for ongoing work in South Yorkshire with potential permanent opportunities. You will handle home deliveries of DIY goods in a two-man team, manage loads, and maintain a professional, customer-facing role across South Yorkshire and surrounding areas.

Expect shifts with starts from 11:00 AM (Mon-Sat) and 08:00 AM on Sundays; CPC/Digital Tachograph requirements apply. Weekly pay and 8-hour shift guarantee are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence (minimum of 2 years experience).
• Up-to-date CPC & Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 penalty points (for insurance purposes).
• Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting.
• Reliable, honest, and hardworking.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Home deliveries of DIY & home improvement goods.
• Two-man operation with driver’s mate.
• Deliveries across South Yorkshire and surrounding areas.
• Managing load and manual handling of heavy items.
