Job summary

Manpower is recruiting a Class 2 Driver (Dray) to operate in Tiverton on a temp-to-perm basis. You will deliver goods from distribution centers to customers, including pubs and supermarkets, ensuring on-time, complete deliveries and professional service.

You will work with warehouse and office teams, perform vehicle checks, adhere to WTD and safety policies, and support loading, multi-drop runs, and training new staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Category C Driving Licence (no more than 6 points).
• Current and valid Driver CPC.
• Current and valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Forklift licence (B1 Counterbalance) desirable.
• Experience of multi-drop deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods to customers safely, on time, and in full, following all legal and company requirements.
• Work closely with Warehouse, Transport and Office teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Support yard and loading activities as required.
• Complete multi-drop deliveries while maintaining high customer service standards.
• Carry out vehicle checks, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and report defects promptly.
• Adhere to Working Time Directive, driver hours, health & safety, and company policies.
• Handle delivery issues professionally, escalating when needed.
• Act as a role model by working safely and with integrity.
• Support continuous improvement and assist training new team members.
