Job summary

Parkers Building Supplies, part of the Independent Builders Merchants Group (IBMG), in Eastbourne, is looking for a Class 2 HGV Driver to deliver building materials safely and on time. You will represent the branch on the road and provide excellent customer service while upholding safety standards.

In addition to driving, you’ll assist with yard operations and branch support when not delivering, with hours Mon-Fri 07:00–16:30 and every third Saturday 08:00–12:00.

Qualifications

• Class 2 (Category C) Licence is required.
• HIAB Licence preferred; training available.
• Previous HGV or delivery driving experience.
• Excellent driving and time management skills.
• Customer-focused attitude.
• Reliable, professional and team‑oriented.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building materials to customers safely and on time.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and maintain records.
• Load and unload vehicles safely.
• Ensure delivery paperwork is completed accurately.
• Follow road traffic laws and company procedures.
• Support yard duties and customer service when required.
