Class 2 Driver

Gatwick RH20 – Pay rate: £17.43 - £19.52. Full time hours / Part time & weekend work available. Can accept newly qualified Drivers

Gi Group are resourcing HGV Class 2 Drivers for one of the biggest parcel delivery companies in the UK, making more than 700 million deliveries a year. They have a dedicated team of over 20,000 couriers and in excess of 10,000 local Parcel Shops and Lockers.

You will be working with their fleet of drivers operating out of their Crawley depot, just outside Gatwick [RH20].

Driver responsibilities

• You will safely transport palletised parcels to couriers or collect from delivery units.
• You will typically have a run with 4‑5 drops ensuring the safe, efficient driving of vehicles and keeping the paperwork updated.
• Vehicle checks and securing loads.

Driver requirements

• Full UK driving licence with HGV Class 2 (Cat C) entitlement.
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DD/IN/DR/DN/TT endorsement codes) on your licence.
• Valid driver’s CPC and digital tachograph cards.
• Newly‑qualified drivers are welcome, but all drivers must undertake a short driving assessment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety‑first mindset.
• Reasonable physical fitness.

Driver Pay

• Class 2 Days – £17.43
• Class 2 Nights – £19.52

These pay rates are PAYE and include advanced holiday pay.
