Job summary

GXO is seeking a Class 2 Driver to deliver B&Q products safely to customers' homes in Beckton (E6 6LG). This full-time, permanent role is 40 hours per week and includes shift patterns shown above. You will join a dynamic Store to Home team with excellent benefits and training opportunities.

Hourly rate is £18.73 with overtime paid at £28.10 per hour, plus CPC training, pension, store discounts, and access to GXO University. DBS check may be required.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with category C entitlement.
• No more than 6 penalty points on licence.
• Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph.
• Excellent customer service skills, written and verbal.
• Willingness to undertake DBS check.
• Be prepared to commute to Beckton (E6 6LG).

Responsibilities

• Delivering products to customer premises on multidrop basis (average 16 drops off-peak, 24 drops at peak).
• Maintain driving/working time records per WTD; use Tachomaster and manual entries as required.
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner.
• Ensure products and delivery documentation are correct and received by customers.
• Keep customers informed of ETA and issues, communicating politely.

Job description

Are you an experienced Class 2 Driver who enjoys delivering more than just products? Do you thrive in a customer-facing role where every delivery makes a difference? Are you ready to join a leading logistics team delivering B&Q products safely and professionally to customers' homes? If so, we'd love to hear from you!

Here at GXO, we're working together with B&Q and are looking for highly experienced Class 2 Driver to join our Store to Home team in Beckton (E6 6LG). You'll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, contracted to 40hrs per week.

We are currently recruiting for the following shift patterns:

• Week 1: Monday to Friday / Week 2: Tuesday to Saturday with start time at 07:00
• Week 1: Monday to Friday / Week 2: Sunday to Thursday with start time at 11:00

As a Class 2 Driver, you'll receive:

• An hourly rate of £18.73, that is an annual salary of £38,958.40

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Delivering products to customer premises (room of choice) on multidrop basis - an average of 16 drops per day off peak and 24 drops per day in peak season
• Maintain accurate driving/working time records using the Tachomaster system and manual entries to record all working hours as required by the WTD regulations
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner
• Ensure all products are checked off the vehicle and the customer receive the correct products and delivery documentation
• Keep customers informed of their estimated time of delivery and where issues occur communicate with in a polite and courteous manner

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previous experience in multidrop, store deliveries preferable but not essential
• A full UK driving licence with category C Entitlement
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)
• An up to date CPC and Digital Tachograph
• Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal
• Willingness to undertake pre-employment Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS Check)
• Be prepared to commute to Beckton (E6 6LG) for the required shift pattern
