Driver Hire in Crawley is recruiting experienced Class 2 (Category C) drivers to operate HGV-mounted vacuum and tanker units for drainage and waste management work. The role requires safe, efficient driving and independent site management, with professional communication to customers and site contacts.

You will perform daily vehicle checks, complete job reports, and maintain high health and safety standards, including proper PPE and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence is required.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card are mandatory.
• Experience with vacuum tankers or drainage work is preferred.
• Strong understanding of health & safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate vacuum tankers safely and efficiently on drainage and waste management tasks
• Independently manage job sites, ensuring safe working practices and high-quality results
• Communicate professionally with customers and site contacts
• Accurately complete job reports and system/system updates
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance, reporting any defects promptly
• Maintain high health and safety standards, including correct PPE use and regulatory compliance

Requirements:

ValidClass 2 (Category C) manual HGV licence

• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Experience with vacuum tankers or drainage work preferred (training may be provided)
• Strong understanding of health & safety procedures
• Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
