Job summary

Warburtons is seeking a Class 2 Multi-Drop Driver based in Basingstoke for a full-time shift starting around 03:30, 43 hours per week, with some weekends. You’ll load your own vehicle at the depot and deliver freshly baked goods to a range of customers.

You’ll handle delivery notes or electronic devices, maintain safety and legal compliance, and build strong relationships while representing the Warburtons brand on the road.

• Full UK Driving Licence with Class C entitlement.

• Full Driver CPC.

Responsibilities

• Load your own vehicle with our baked goods at the depot or on the move.
• Accurately pick orders from delivery notes or an electronic device and deliver to multiple customers daily.
• Relay faults on defect forms and keep knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and transport legislation.
• Provide top‑notch service, build strong relationships, and act as an ambassador for the brand.
• Work a defined rotating 5-day pattern, including weekends, totaling 43 hours per week.

The Recipe

• You'll receive a 6-week induction and support from our in-house driver training team.
• You'll be an early riser-shifts start around 03:30 (some patterns may vary). The upside? Your afternoons are all yours.
• You'll enjoy plenty of autonomy. You'll be given delivery notes (or an electronic device), from which you'll accurately pick the orders and load your own vehicle with our baked goods-either at the depot or on the move.
• To help keep your day smooth and safe, knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and transport legislation (Driver Hours, Working Time Directive, Highway Code, etc.) will be key in order to relay faults on defect forms.
• Once your route for the day is loaded into your onboard computer, you're off!
• You'll deliver to multiple customers daily (they're like family to us), so top-notch service, strong relationships, and professionalism are a must. This includes being able to manage difficult conversations in a calm manner and acting as an ambassador for our brand.
• You'll work a defined rotating 5-day pattern, including weekends. That's 43 hours a week, though some weeks may be less. All of which will hopefully help you to plan your life around work more easily.

Basingstoke has around 80 colleagues working across distribution and warehousing from a wide range of nationalities, who support in the delivery of over one million items per week.
