Driver Hire/dh Recruitment (Torbay & Barnstaple) is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver for a permanent, full-time role based in South Devon. You will operate Class 1 articulated vehicles with refrigerated trailers, travelling across the UK with occasional trips into France and nights away.

This role requires a strong, independent driver who is comfortable with 48-hour weeks, nights away on a regular basis, and adhering to drivers' hours rules with accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• A valid HGV Class 1 C+E licence.
• A valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card mandatory.
• No more than 6 penalties on licence.
• Strong knowledge of UK roads and regulations.
• Passport for travel to France if required.

Responsabilités

• Drive Class 1 articulated vehicles with refrigerated trailers across the UK.
• Carry out deliveries and collections in line with transport plans.
• Adhere to Drivers Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive.
• Report vehicle or trailer issues and perform daily defect checks.
• Assist with loading/unloading where needed and maintain paperwork.

Connaissances

HGV Class 1 C+E licence

Driver CPC qualification

Digital Tachograph Card

Good communication skills

Strong UK geographical knowledge

Previous Class 1 driving experience
