Job summary

A logistics company in Peterborough is seeking reliable Class 1 Shunter Drivers for a physically demanding role. You will be responsible for moving trailers around the factory site and supporting operations. Previous experience preferred but not necessary as full training is provided. Job description

Accept Recruitment are currently looking for reliable and hard-working Class 1 Shunter Drivers to join our clients operation in Whittlesey on a temporary‑to‑permanent or ad‑hoc cover basis.

Shift Patterns

Shift patterns: 4 on 4 off

Shifts Available

• 2200‑0600 (nights)
• 1400‑2200 (afternoons)

You will be responsible for

• Moving trailers safely around the factory site
• Opening and closing trailer sheets
• Winding trailer legs
• Supporting smooth site operations

This is a physically demanding role, so applicants must be physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Experience & Training

• Previous tug or shunting experience is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided.
• A positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to safety are essential.

Contract Type

• Temp to Perm or Ad Hoc Cover
