Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a reliable Class 1 Driver to join our Ipswich-based team. You will operate HGV vehicles to transport telehandlers and plant machinery across designated sites, ensuring loads are secured and handled safely.

Daily vehicle checks and clear communication with customers are essential for timely, professional handovers. Candidates should hold a valid LGV C+CE licence, a DIGI card, NPORS card, CPC record, and a clean licence with minimal points.

Qualifications

Proven experience in Class 1 driving roles.
Solid time management and self-motivation.
Strong customer service focus and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

Operate Class 1 HGV to deliver/collect telehandlers and plant equipment across sites.
Ensure loads are secured, strapped, loaded and unloaded safely per regulations.
Carry out daily vehicle checks and report maintenance needs to prevent downtime.
Liaise with customers and site personnel for smooth equipment handovers.
Complete delivery/collection documents accurately and maintain records per procedures.
