Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd in Raunds is recruiting for HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for day and night shifts. Operate from Raunds depot with typical 40-hour week, competitive hourly rate, and progression through structured hours and ongoing development.

Responsibilities include safe driving, pre- and post-shift vehicle checks, accurate documentation, and professional customer service. Both experienced drivers and new entrants are welcome to apply for a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph card.
• Good understanding of driver hours and regulations.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willingness to complete theory and driving assessment.

Responsibilities

• Safe, compliant driving in line with UK regulations.
• Day drivers: scheduled deliveries.
• Night drivers: trunking between depot and sites.
• Vehicle checks before and after shifts.
• Accurate delivery notes, defect reports, tachograph records.
• Represent the company professionally to customers.
