Job description

Pay Rate: £38,439.86
Grade: P
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Monday to Friday, required to work 4 Saturdays over the year and 2x to be worked over the Christmas period. Start times vary between 05:00am and 08:00am
Location: Exeter, EX1 3QN

We're now looking for a Class 1 HGV Driver play a key role ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, delivering goods safely and on time.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Multi drop delivery of products to customers premises, delivering bulk loads, picked directly from vehicle for delivery to customer
• 2 person driving team - 2nd driver/drivers mate will be allocated
• You will be required to work 2x weekends in December as this is their busiest time of year
• Drive in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Comply with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
• Count and check all products, compare to manifest and complete a visual check for any anomalies and damages
• Working in a physically demanding environment in a safe manner
• Manual handling will be required for this role

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving License (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Extensive Class 2 Driving would be accepted but must hold a Class 1 license
• Have at least 6 months HGV Class 1 experience
