Job description

Gi Group are looking for experienced, afternoon and night, Class 1 drivers in Northampton for trunking work. There is a temp‑perm role available for the early morning starts.

Pay rate

• Monday to Friday days – £18.99 including holiday pay (PAYE only, no umbrellas)
• Monday to Friday nights – £21.85 including holiday pay (PAYE only, no umbrellas)
• Saturday days – £24.00 including holiday pay (PAYE only, no umbrellas)
• Sunday days – £26.00 including holiday pay (PAYE only, no umbrellas)

Available Class 1 shifts

• 13:00–23:45 starts available
• 00:30–02:00 starts – temp to perm role available
• Weekend work essential (e.g., Tuesday‑Saturday, Wednesday‑Sunday, Thursday‑Monday etc.)

Class 1 Driver – Key Duties

• Trunking
• 10–12 hours average shift length

Requirements

• UK, in‑date, Class 1 (CE) licence with a minimum of 2 years experience
• Current and valid CPC and Digi‑Tacho cards
• Weekend working essential for this role
• No more than 6 penalty points (no IN DR or DD codes)
