Job summary

Careermakers Recruitment in Blackburn is seeking experienced Class 1 (C+E) drivers for ongoing Monday to Friday shifts with early starts between 05:00 and 06:00. Trunking, trailer swaps, and depot collections form the core duties, alongside completing paperwork and daily vehicle checks.

Candidates should hold a valid Class 1 licence, CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card, with up to six penalty points and no DR/DD/IN endorsements. Prior Class 1 experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD or IN endorsements).

Responsibilities

• Trunking work.
• Trailer swaps.
• Collections from other depots.
• 5–6 deliveries/collections per shift (depending on route).
• Completing all relevant paperwork.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks.
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently.
