Job summary

The Best Connection Group Ltd in Tamworth is seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver for an Ad-hoc role. This position involves trunking work, local and regional deliveries, yard movements, and rigorous vehicle checks. Monday to Friday with early starts and no weekend work.

Applicants must hold a Class 1 licence, CPC, and tachograph card, with 2 years of experience preferred. A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid CPC qualification card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• 2 years’ experience delivering building materials desirable.
• Comfortable with shunting and yard movements.
• Good knowledge of driver hours and regulations.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Trunking work.
• Local and regional deliveries safely and on time.
• Yard shunting and vehicle movements.
• Daily vehicle checks and reporting defects.
• Accurate completion of paperwork.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery locations.
