Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Wednesbury is seeking a Class 1 Driver for daytime shifts. You will deliver and collect goods, maintain tachograph compliance, and ensure loads are secured and properly documented.

Ideal candidates hold an HGV 1 licence, Driver CPC, and a digital tachograph card, with readiness to travel UK-wide. Strong communication, knowledge of Highway Code, and time management are essential.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 Licence (C+E) and Driver CPC required.
• Digital Tachograph Card required.
• 12 months driving experience preferred.
• Willing to travel UK-wide.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Highway Code and Road Traffic Act 1988.
• Strong time management.
• Experience securing loads in vehicles or trailers.
• Good geographical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provision of first class safe, efficient and customer-focused delivery and collection services.
• Comply with start times in line with contractual requirements.
• Conduct collections and deliveries as per plan/instructions from transport office.
• Complete delivery documentation and electronic PODs in real time.
• Ensure knowledge of regulations and tachograph/working time compliance.
• Secure loads before moving goods in a vehicle or trailer.
