Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd is recruiting a HGV driver to operate curtain side, box trailers and refrigerated units to serve retail locations. You will ensure proper loading and securement, perform daily safety checks, and maintain open communication with the transport team to meet customer expectations.

The role requires a UK Class 1 CE licence, DCPC, and a customer-focused, deadline-driven, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

UK Class 1 CE Licence
Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card
Experience delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous
Passionate about providing excellent customer service
Ability to work to deadlines
Confident, polite, and a team player
Good geographical knowledge
Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated

Responsibilities

Using curtain side, box trailers and refrigerated, as well as single and double deck trailers, to transport goods to various retail locations.
Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage.
Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.
