Job summary

Pure Staff's Driving Team is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 drivers for ongoing shifts with a major UK logistics client based in Cullompton. You will perform multi-drop pallet deliveries and work on day shifts with typical start times around 05:00–06:00, _approximately 10 hours_ per shift, across Monday to Sunday.

Pay ranges from £17.00 to £19.05 per hour (holiday accrued) on weekdays and £17.72 to £19.86 per hour on weekends, with potential to secure a permanent position for reliable drivers.

Qualifications

• UK Category C+E Licence
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Valid Driver CPC Card
• Minimum 6 months’ HGV Class 1 driving experience
• No more than 6 penalty points
• A professional, reliable and safety-conscious attitude
• Good understanding of driver hours, tachograph regulations and vehicle safety checks
• Previous multi-drop or palletised distribution experience is beneficial but not essential

Pure Staff’s Driving Team are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to support one of our long-standing customers based in Cullompton. Immediate starts are available for reliable HGV Class 1 Drivers looking for consistent ongoing work with one of the UK’s leading logistics and distribution companies.

Our customer is one of the UK’s largest privately owned transport and logistics businesses, providing nationwide distribution, warehousing and supply chain solutions for many of the country’s best-known retailers, manufacturers and food producers. Operating a modern fleet from a nationwide network of depots, they have built an excellent reputation for investing in its people, maintaining high safety standards and delivering reliable logistics services across the UK.

Drivers will complete multi-drop deliveries of palletised goods, making up to 10 deliveries per shift to commercial customers and distribution locations using modern articulated vehicles. Day shifts are available across Monday to Sunday, with typical day shift start times between 05:00 and 06:00 and average shift lengths of approximately 10 hours. This is ongoing work with an excellent opportunity to potentially secure a permanent position for reliable and professional drivers.

Rates for an HGV Class 1 Driver:

Monday to Friday (Days) = £17.00ph (+ holiday accrued) or £19.05ph (with holiday pay rolled up)

Weekend rates = £17.72ph (+ holiday accrued) or £19.86ph (with holiday pay rolled up)
