Qualifications

  • Full C+E Entitlement along with CPC & Tacho Card.
  • No more than 6 points, no serious convictions.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the transport office at the start of the shift.
  • Maintain a high standard of behavior and appearance.
  • Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed.

Job Description

Shift:Monday-Friday 18:00pm start (Average shift length is 10 hours).

Overtime: £17.70 per hour paid after 10 hours.

  • Report to the transport office at the start of shift
  • Ensure correct and thorough completion of paperwork
  • Observe and adhere to company rules and procedures, including all aspects of health, safety and hygiene
  • Maintain a high standard of behaviour and appearance
  • Effectively manage own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive
  • Adhere to tachograph rules and regulations at all times
  • Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure
  • Make deliveries to customers’ premises, acting in a professional manner at all times
  • Immediately report any problems regarding delivery arrival times, delays or discrepancies with loads
  • Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Transport Office after delivery
  • Ensure regular communication with the Transport Office
  • Observe and adhere to site procedures at each delivery point
  • Ensure correct completion of a defect report as and when required
  • Any other duties as reasonably required
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1years Class 1 experience.
  • Full C+E Entitlement along with CPC & Tacho Card.
  • Experience of Driving Class 1 vehicles.
  • No more than 6 points no DD/ DR Code convictions
  • Understand and able to comply with Driver’s hours and WTD legislation
  • Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly
  • Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements
