Job Responsibilities Operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles in a safe and compliant manner at all times.
Complete assigned deliveries and collections efficiently, ensuring goods are transported securely.
Follow all relevant driving regulations, company procedures, and tachograph rules.
Conduct vehicle checks before and after journeys, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
Maintain accurate records, including delivery paperwork and relevant documentation.
Plan routes effectively and manage time to meet delivery schedules.
Communicate professionally with transport office staff and customers where required.
Adhere to safe loading/unloading practices and ensure loads are properly secured.
Required Skills & Qualifications Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
Strong knowledge of UK road safety and driving regulations.
Experience driving HGVs with a good understanding of vehicle checks and defect reporting.
Ability to work to deadlines and maintain reliable attendance.
