Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect goods from distribution centres nationwide.
• Perform shunting duties at the site when required.
• Ensure loads are secured and comply with safety regulations.
• Conduct truck checks and report defects promptly.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver, to join our busy and evolving transport team in our 2-person Home Delivery Network, working for a leading logistics company.

Responsibilities

• Delivering to/collecting from distribution centres in the UK.
• Occasionally perform shunting duties at site.
• Deliver empty/filled trailers to distribution centres as well as collecting.
• Ensuring loads have been secured.
• Drive in a safe, responsible and courteous manner at all times, and in accordance with company policy & procedures, legislation and traffic regulations.
• Carry out truck checks and ensure that defects are reported immediately and complete all paperwork in line with procedure.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 licence.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC).
• Previous experience in trunking would be an advantage.
• Have a positive, flexible attitude to work.
• Good timekeeper, with the ability to work unsupervised.
