Job summary

Edge Staffing is currently recruiting experienced Class 1 Drivers for ongoing and ad hoc assignments across Gateshead and surrounding areas.

We offer flexible shift patterns including days, nights, tramping and weekends with weekly pay and PAYE only. This role provides opportunities for ongoing work that can lead to permanent positions for the right drivers. Candidates should be reliable and professional with a good knowledge of UK road regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months Class 1 (C+E) driving experience.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DR or IN endorsements).
• Good knowledge of UK road traffic regulations and safe driving practices.
• Reliable, professional, and positive approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing and ad hoc Class 1 driving duties across Gateshead and surrounding areas.
• Cover days, nights, tramping and weekends as required.
• Ensure compliance with tachograph and CPC requirements.
