Job summary

A leading recruitment company is seeking HGV Class 1 Drivers for shifts in the Ellesmere Port area. Drivers will conduct vehicle checks, trunk deliveries, and ensure safety during transportation. Candidates must have 12 months of Class 1 experience, excellent customer service skills, and valid tachograph and CPC. Competitive hourly pay ranging from £21.46 to £30.53 depending on the day of the week is offered.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 months experience as a Class 1 Driver.
• Hold a valid, in date Tachograph & CPC.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no serious endorsements.

Responsibilities

Job description

GI Group are currently recruiting multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers for our internationally known client in Liverpool [L11]. This company provides courier services worldwide, focusing on the express road-based market and offering services such as delivery, freight forwarding, and logistics.

Drivers will work afternoon shifts on an ad-hoc basis, with the following details:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend work available and is optional
• Average 12 hour shift

Drivers pay & benefits:

• Monday to Friday: £21.46 per hour
• Saturday: £27.47 per hour
• Sunday: £30.53 per hour

Please note that these pay rates are PAYE and include advanced holiday pay.

Driver main duties will include:

• Conducting Vehicle checks
• Trunking work to depots
• Delivering safely to customers throughout the UK
• Prioritising workload to ensure time commitments are met

Driver requirements:

• A presentable appearance, an eye for detail and a positive attitude
• No more than 6 penalty points. No DD / IN / DR / DN / TT endorsement codes
• Hold a valid, in date Tachograph & CPC
• Have good customer service skills
• Must have at least 12 months experience as a Class 1 Driver
