Job description

GI Group are currently recruiting multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers for our internationally known client in Bridgwater (TA6). This company provides courier services worldwide, focusing on the express road‑based market and offering delivery, freight forwarding, and logistics services.

Driver Shifts

• Class 1 Drivers to work afternoon shifts on an ad‑hoc basis
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend work available (optional)
• Average 12 hour shift

Pay & Benefits

• Monday to Friday: £20.34 per hour (PAYE, includes advanced holiday pay)
• Saturday: £26.35 per hour (PAYE, includes advanced holiday pay)
• Sunday: £29.41 per hour (PAYE, includes advanced holiday pay)

Driver Duties

• Conducting vehicle checks
• Trunking work to depots
• Delivering safely to customers throughout the UK
• Prioritising workload to ensure time commitments are met

Driver Requirements

• A presentable appearance, an eye for detail and a positive attitude
• No more than 6 penalty points and no DD / IN / DR / DN / TT endorsement codes
• Hold a valid, in‑date tachograph and CPC
• Good customer service skills
• At least 12 months experience as a Class 1 Driver
