Job summary

DPD UK is hiring a Category C+E Driver in Chelmsford to join a market-leading, sustainability-focused logistics team. The role covers daily local route deliveries with a Monday to Friday schedule, 11:00 to 19:45, and permanent contracts.

You’ll operate a multi-drop network, maintain accurate tachograph records, and represent the DPD brand with professionalism. A valid UK CE license, CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card are required.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Driving Licence with CE entitlement.
• Minimum 6 months recent LGV C+E driving experience.
• Current UK CPC Card and a Digital Tachograph Card are required.
• You are reliable, safety-conscious, and align with DPD values.

Responsibilities

• Handle multi-drop deliveries across local area with time-sensitive schedules.
• Ensure adherence to time-critical delivery requirements and brand standards.
• Maintain accurate digital journey records in line with tachograph and transport regulations.
• Assist in safe loading/unloading of trailers and protect freight integrity during transit.
• Represent the DPD brand with a professional, flexible attitude.

Job Description

This pivotal role is central to our nationwide transport network, focusing on the precise and efficient management of high-volume logistics operations.

• The Route: Handle multi-drop collections and deliveries across your local area successfully achieving time sensitive deliveries and predetermined collection schedules
• Service Excellence: Ensure strict adherence to time-critical scheduling requirements while upholding the company's standards for world-class service.
• Compliance & Reporting: Maintain meticulous and accurate digital journey records, ensuring full compliance with all relevant digital tachograph and transport regulations.
• Freight Management: Proactively participate in the safe and secure loading and unloading of trailers, ensuring freight integrity and security throughout transit.
• Brand Representation: Act as a professional ambassador for the DPD brand, exhibiting a flexible, solution-oriented approach and maintaining a positive corporate image in all interactions.

Qualifications

What You Bring

• The License: Valid UK Driving Licence with CE entitlement.
• The Experience: At least 6 months recent experience operating LGV C+E vehicles.
• The Essentials: A current UK CPC Card and a valid Digital Tachograph Card.
