Job summary

The Best Connection Group in Birtley is seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver for a temp-to-perm role. You will handle night trunk work with a Monday to Friday schedule and an 18:00 start time. No weekend shifts and PAYE pay apply.

Offering a £16.00–£24.00 per hour scale, this position requires a valid Class 1 licence, CPC, and Digi-tachograph card, with a minimum of 2 years’ driving experience. Temp-to-perm for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' Class 1 driving experience for insurance purposes.
• Must be comfortable using ratchet straps.

Responsibilities

• Trunk work with no load interaction.

Our client based in Birtley has recently secured a prestigious new contract and is looking for an experienced Class 1 Driver for an ongoing position.

Job Details

Pay

• £16.00 per hour (first 8 hours, PAYE)
• £24.00 per hour (after 8 hours, PAYE)
• Holiday accrued separately (not rolled into pay)
• Temporary to permanent opportunity for the right candidate

Driver Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Valid CPC
• Valid Digi-tachograph card
• Minimum 2 years' Class 1 driving experience for insurance purposes
