Job summary

Dx is seeking a professional HGV driver to transport goods to and from customer sites and DX hubs, integrating into the DX delivery network. The role requires strict adherence to deadlines and proficient on-road route management for timely deliveries.

You will perform vehicle checks, comply with safety regulations, and adapt routes as conditions change to ensure smooth operations across the network.

Qualifications

• HGV 1/C+E Licence is required.
• Licence must show no more than 6 points and no DD/DR convictions.
• Current valid DCPC Card is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Transport goods to and from customers’ premises and DX hubs within the delivery network.
• Work to deadlines and manage on-road routes to achieve time-sensitive deliveries.
• Ensure vehicle safety through pre- and post-trip checks and report defects promptly.
• Comply with on-site health and safety requirements.
• Ability to divert cross-country to the hub as traffic or signs dictate.

Role summary

To transport goods to and from customers’ premises, and our central hubs, into the DX delivery network. This role requires the ability to work to deadlines and to manage on-road routes in order to achieve time-sensitive deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Proven track record of driving vehicles in a safe and legal manner ensuring compliance with all legal requirements
• Understand and be able to comply with driver’s hours and WTD legislation
• Understand and be able to carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and to be able to report defects correctly
• Must comply with on-site health and safety requirements
• Have the experience and knowledge to be able to divert cross country to and from the hub as and when signs, traffic or other conditions dictate

Essential Criteria

• You must hold an HGV 1/C+E Licence
• No more than 6 points on your licence and no DD/DR Code convictions
• Hold a current valid DCPC Card
