Job summary

Pertemps Bond in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Car Transporter Driver for a temp-to-perm role. Base salary is £42,000 with bonuses taking earnings to £54,000 per year, and the position includes 1–3 nights out per week. The role is based in Stoke-on-Trent (ST1).

You will transport vehicles across the UK, load/unload professionally, perform daily vehicle checks and paperwork, and provide excellent customer service to dealerships and customers.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• At least 12 months driving HGV Class 1 experience.
• Experience with car transport is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Transport vehicles safely across the UK.
• Load and unload vehicles professionally.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and transport documentation.

Pertemps Stoke are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Car Transporter Drivers to join a well-established transport operation based in Stoke-on-Trent.

This is a fantastic opportunity for professional HGV Class 1 Car Transporter drivers looking for a temp to perm position with excellent earning potential, offering a base salary of £42,000 with bonuses taking earnings up to £54,000 per year.

As an HGV Class 1 Car Transporter Driver, you will be responsible for:

• Safely transporting vehicles across the UK
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and professionally
• Completing daily vehicle checks and transport documentation
• Delivering outstanding service to dealerships and customers
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on schedule
• 1–3 nights out per week required

The Ideal Candidate:

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Minimum 12 months HGV Class 1 driving experience
• Previous car transporter experience desirable
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to vehicle safety
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Professional approach when dealing with customers and dealerships
