Overview

A well known organisation has a new opportunity to join their in‑house insurance team in a hybrid Claims Supervisor / Insurance Officer position, combining higher level claims responsibilities with deputising to the Insurance Manager in the management of the insurance programme.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all claims including EL/PL, motor and property, leading the relationship between the organisation and the third‑party administrator.
  • Ensure claims are handled efficiently, targets are met, systems are fit for purpose, and stakeholders are kept well‑informed through accurate reporting and analysis.
  • Own the development and maintenance of the claims management system and reporting processes, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.
  • Provide financial analysis and trend insights to support renewals and tenders, helping shape strategic decisions.
  • Conduct on‑site investigations, prepare statements and negotiate settlements, and authorise claim payments up to £25,000.
  • Deliver technical insurance guidance across the organisation, supervising team members and driving continuous service improvement.
  • Deputise for the Insurance Manager, leading on policy development and procurement to strengthen the insurance framework.
Qualifications
  • Strong claims background with cross‑class exposure, including EL/PL, motor and property.
  • Candidates may come from a current in‑house team, insurer, broker, TPA or law firm.
Opportunities

Flexibility is offered to work from home – you will be in the office an average of two days per week. Further opportunities to progress within the in‑house insurance team, either further in claims or into an Insurance Manager position, are available.
