Job description

Are you passionate about harnessing data to drive meaningful change and optimise outcomes? AXA's Claims Analytics team is seeking a Claims Product Performance Analyst to join our dynamic and diverse group of data professionals. Our team is committed to fostering an internal culture where data driven decision making is at the heart of everything we do, ensuring AXA stays ahead of the competition in terms of efficiency, customer service, and cost management. Working with us means tackling interesting and complex challenges across a broad portfolio of projects, all with the shared goal of delivering the best for our customers. You'll turn complex data into compelling stories and clear insights that influence strategic decisions. With your strong understanding of data and analysis, you'll communicate findings effectively to stakeholders at all levels. If you thrive on solving real-world problems using data and want to be part of a forward-thinking team dedicated to innovation and excellence, we'd love to hear from you! At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. We're also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Develop innovative tracking models using Python, Power BI, and other tools, based on comprehensive data requirements, to effectively showcase the performance of our products.
  • Analyse data to craft compelling narratives that influence decision making, providing early insights and warnings to internal teams to enable proactive action before issues are identified externally.
  • Apply statistical and analytical techniques to derive meaningful insights that support business objectives and strategic planning.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities where data can deliver strategic value and drive improvements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across AXA to contribute to the broader data strategy and communicate findings and insights through a range of appropriate channels.
  • Experience and passion for solving complex problems through data analysis.
  • Proven skills in R, SQL, Python, Power BI, or similar analytical tools to develop solutions and insights.
  • Demonstrable ability to create and deliver impactful business insights that drive value and support decision making.
  • Previous experience applying analytical or statistical methods to a broad range of real-world challenges.
  • Ability to influence and build relationships to collaborate effectively both within and outside your immediate team.
  • Confident in analysing and questioning complex information with a critical eye.
  • Capability to plan, prioritise, and manage your own workload efficiently.
  • Familiarity with Cloud platforms and ML tools such as Azure Cloud and Databricks.
  • Exposure to the Insurance or Financial Services sectors is advantageous.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
