Job description

Lawes is supporting our client in their search for a Claims Executive to help manage insurance claims from start to finish.

You will ensure claims are handled quickly, clearly, and fairly, giving great service to customers and supporting the wider team in meeting targets. You’ll also follow important industry rules like Treating Customers Fairly and avoiding conflicts of interest.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle new claims and keep track of ongoing ones
  • Look into each claim to check if it’s covered by the policy
  • Record and update claim details clearly and accurately
  • Keep a full record of what’s been done on each claim
  • Send all the right documents to insurers or other providers
  • Answer phone calls and deal with customer questions
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing paperwork on time
  • Work with others like insurers, engineers, and loss adjusters to move claims forward
  • Help customers through each step of the claims process
  • Send out payment cheques as soon as they arrive
  • Use a daily task list to stay on top of open claims

DAY-TO-DAY

  • Talking to customers and partners to manage claims
  • Using the company system to update claim records
  • Responding to emails, calls, and other messages
  • Following up on any open tasks or missing information
  • Working closely with your team to give a smooth and helpful service

EXPERIENCE

  • A good understanding of FCA rules
  • Experience following company systems and processes
  • Some background in insurance or claims is preferred
  • Knowledge of Acturis and Windows Virtual Desktop would be a bonus
