Job description

We have the opportunity for a Claims Adjuster to join our Claims department here at Tokio Marine Kiln. Reporting into the Head of Marine & Aviation, you will support the Marine & Aviation team in further developing the company’s market leading Marine and Aviation claims offering, in order to contribute to the attraction and retention of profitable business.

This role includes responsibility for :
  • Delivery, through personal ownership and via the team, of a first-class service to all customers
  • Management of claims arising from the designated portfolio (to include those beyond personal authority) – this may be achieved by personal ownership or by working with a more experienced colleague
  • Ownership of nominated client relationships to ensure delivery of Claims services to support and develop business objectives
  • Liaison with Underwriters to assist in ensuring that they are fully briefed on claims issues at an individual level
  • Ensuring fair customer outcomes & commerciality when decision making in line with the TMK values
  • To have a clear understanding of the company’s risk appetites in terms of delegated authority, conduct and financial crime
  • Champion the company values and work in accordance with the organisational behaviours
  • To be aware of and comply with the relevant rules and regulations in relation to financial crime & conduct

The successful candidate will ideally have experience handling Marine, Aviation, Fine Art and Specie claims in the Lloyd’s market and will have a good working knowledge of ECF. It is essential that you are comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders and have knowledge of the London market. We are looking for a strong communicator who is a team player that is keen to learn and progress.
