Job summary

A leading insurance provider in Greater London is seeking a Claims Adjuster to join their Claims department. In this role, you will manage claims within the Marine & Aviation team, ensuring clients receive a first-class service and that claims are handled efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in Marine, Aviation, and Fine Art claims, alongside strong communication and organizational skills. This role offers the chance to work closely with stakeholders and develop business objectives while upholding company values.

Qualifications

  • Experience handling Marine, Aviation, Fine Art and Specie claims in the Lloyd’s market.
  • Good working knowledge of ECF.
  • Comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders and knowledgeable of the London market.

  • Delivery of a first-class service to all customers.
  • Management of claims from the designated portfolio.
  • Ownership of client relationships to ensure delivery of Claims services.
  • Liaison with Underwriters regarding claims issues.
  • Ensuring fair customer outcomes aligning with company values.
  • Maintaining understanding of company’s risk appetites.
  • Championing company values and adhering to relevant regulations.

Overview

We have an opportunity for a Claims Adjuster to join our Claims department at Tokio Marine Kiln. Reporting into the Head of Marine & Aviation you will support the Marine & Aviation team in further developing the company’s market‑leading Marine and offering to contribute to the attraction and retention of profitable business.

Responsibilities
  • Delivery through personal ownership and via the team of a first‑class service to all customers.
  • Management of claims arising from the designated portfolio (including those beyond personal authority), either through personal ownership or with a more experienced colleague.
  • Ownership of nominated client relationships to ensure delivery of Claims services that support and develop business objectives.
  • Liaison with Underwriters to fully brief them on claims issues at an individual level.
  • Ensuring fair customer outcomes and commerciality when decision‑making in line with TMK values.
  • Maintaining a clear understanding of the company’s risk appetites in terms of delegated authority, conduct and financial crime.
  • Championing company values and working in accordance with organisational behaviours.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant rules and regulations related to financial crime and conduct.
