Job description

Our client is seeking a Claims Adjuster to join one of the highest performing Lloyd’s Underwriters. The ideal candidate will have claims experience and a desire to develop their career in the Lloyds market. A graduate level of education is preferred, but candidates with strong A levels (or equivalent) will also be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in handling claims across various classes of business, with an initial focus on property claims.
• Assist the Senior Claims Adjuster responsible for property claims to ensure all claims are properly managed, processed and settled in compliance with policy terms and conditions, and within a pre-determined authority limit.
• Ensure all claims are accurately reserved wherever required, adhering to company reserving guidelines.
• Provide support to the Senior Claims Adjusters during the quarterly reserving process.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with brokers, loss adjusters, and industry peers within the claims market.
• Develop strong working relationships with Underwriters, the management team, and other internal departments.
• Ensure all company, market, and client-related documentation is prepared and issued accurately and punctually.
• Help ensure claims systems are kept up to date in a timely manner, including effective diary management.
• Operate as an effective team member by supporting colleagues and contributing to the delivery and achievement of the claims team and business objectives.
