Healthcare Support Worker (Flow Coordinator)

Band 3 – various hours – Permanent – Site and Capacity, ARI

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker, flow coordinator position within the Site and Capacity team. The post holder will be an integral part of the Site and Capacity team, taking clear direction from the senior nurse and working within the Emergency Department to support direct patient flow across the ARI site.

Responsibilities

• Work within an acute hospital setting to support patient flow across the Emergency Department.
• Use IT systems effectively to manage and monitor flow information.
• Communicate clearly with team members and patients, accepting delegated tasks as required.
• Operate at a fast pace to meet the demands of the department while maintaining a person‑centred approach.

Qualifications

• Experience working in an acute hospital setting.
• Good IT skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work quickly and independently in a dynamic environment.

Working Hours & Contract

This post involves 12‑hour shift work with day/night rotation across a 7‑day service. Full‑time and part‑time positions are available.
