Job summary

A leading engineering firm in the UK is seeking a Senior / Principal Civil Water Engineer to join their Water and Environment South team. The successful candidate will apply their skills to various projects across the water sector. Key responsibilities include hydraulic design, producing engineering documentation, and overseeing project life cycles. Qualifications

  • Experience working across a project life cycle in asset planning, strategy, concept design, outline and detailed design.
  • Experience in clean water treatment, wastewater treatment, and flooding.
  • Good working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, and design management.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver hydraulic analysis and design.
  • Produce and review engineering calculations, specifications, drawings, and reports.
  • Challenge designs and resolve problems.

Experience required…

Essential :
  • Chartered engineer or working towards
  • Experience working across a project life cycle in asset planning, strategy, concept design, outline design and detailed design
  • Experience across a variety of areas within the water sector, including clean water treatment and networks, wastewater treatment and networks and flooding.
  • Able to deliver hydraulic analysis and design
  • Experience producing and reviewing engineering calculations, specifications, drawings and reports
  • Good working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations and design management
  • Ability to challenge designs and resolve problems
  • A strong awareness and understanding of industry standards and specifications
