Civils Technical Engineer (Office Based - Precast / Estimating)

CLIENT

A leading precast concrete manufacturer supplying the civils, infrastructure and construction sectors across the UK & Ireland. This business continues to expand its product range and is now seeking a technically minded Civil Engineer to join their estimating / proposals function. This role will suit someone who wants to move away from site into a technical commercial office based role.

The Ideal Person

• Civil / Structural Engineering degree (or equivalent experience).
• Ability to interpret drawings and engineering information.
• Strong communication skills - able to deal with contractors & clients professionally.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to work to tender deadlines.
• Competent IT user (Microsoft Office in particular).
• Previous estimating experience beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Work within the estimating team to price and secure projects for the civils engineering market.
• Interpret drawings, BOQs and technical information to produce accurate tenders.
• Liaise with contractors, designers and internal departments to ensure compliant proposals.
• Prepare tender documentation, cost schedules and support technical submittals.
• Attend client meetings and support commercial relationships.
• Assist with technical queries and programme delivery from tender through to award.

Remuneration £40,000 per annum + a fantastic range of benefits
