Civils Project Manager - Warrington

Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 + Car/Car Allowance + Package

Our client is a respected multi-disciplinary civil engineering contractor based in Warrington, delivering a range of projects across the Northwest. With expertise spanning highways, groundworks, commercial developments, and wider infrastructure, they have built a strong reputation for delivering technically demanding schemes safely, on time, and to a high standard.

Role

As Civils Project Manager, you will take ownership of civil engineering schemes from pre-construction through to handover, working closely with clients, developers, architects, and contractors to deliver key infrastructure projects across the Northwest.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver multiple civil engineering projects across the region.
  • Lead site teams and subcontractors to achieve programme and quality targets.
  • Oversee budgets, schedules, and resource planning.
  • Ensure all works are delivered in line with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships.
  • Provide clear reporting to senior management on progress, risks, and performance.
  • Use project systems and software to plan, monitor, and coordinate activities.
Who We're Looking For

We're looking for a hands-on and driven Civils Project Manager who can bring both technical knowledge and leadership to every stage of a project.

You will have:

  • Proven experience managing and delivering civil engineering schemes from design through to completion.
  • Strong background in pre-construction, including defining scopes of work, supporting tender submissions, and producing project programmes.
  • Solid understanding of quality management, CDM regulations, and construction legislation.
  • Experience overseeing temporary works and ensuring compliance with all safety standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop site and project teams.
  • Skilled in preparing RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) and Construction Phase Plans (CPPs).
  • A proactive approach to identifying risks and implementing safe systems of work.
Candidate Requirements
  • SMSTS and CSCS.
  • First Aid at Work.
  • Degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline (preferred).
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
  • Confident using project management and construction software.
  • Full UK driving licence.
