Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a CAD Technician in a civil engineering consultancy.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering design principles and attention to detail.
• Able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

• Produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models across multiple civil engineering disciplines.
• Work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure designs are effectively translated into technical drawings.

We are looking for a skilled Civils CAD Technician to join a growing consultancy in Croydon. This permanent role offers the chance to work on a variety of civil, structural, and geotechnical projects, producing high-quality 2D and 3D drawings while collaborating with engineers and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models across multiple civil engineering disciplines.
• Work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure designs are effectively translated into technical drawings.
• Update and modify drawings based on team feedback.
• Maintain organised CAD files, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
• Support junior technicians and contribute to training and development.
• Ensure all work meets company and industry standards, including quality and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or certification in CAD Design, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a CAD Technician in a civil engineering consultancy.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, and awareness of BIM standards/ISO 19650 workflows.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering design principles and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills; able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
