Job Title: Civils and Drainage Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to join my client, an innovative, sustainably-minded Multidisciplinary Consultancy renowned for lending their expertise to a wide range of projects across the engineering and energy landscapes. They are actively searching for a capable, enthusiastic Civils and Drainage Engineer committed to working alongside an already-established team of experts within the civil engineering, drainage, and flood risk sectors, based in the vibrant, maritime city of Hull.

Responsibilities for the role of Civils and Drainage Engineer include:
  • Designing, developing, and delivering a range of drainage and other infrastructure/non‑infrastructure projects to the highest of standards
  • Working on a range of interesting projects across the residential, commercial, industrial, energy, and education sectors
  • Producing reports and other technical documents to support planning applications and project delivery
  • Collaborating with other teams, internal and external to the company, to deliver aspects of important projects
  • Liaising with colleagues, clients, and other significant stakeholders, acting as a trusted representative of the company
  • Attending site meetings and other relevant meetings
  • Mentoring and supporting other colleagues
Required skills and experience for the role of Civils and Drainage Engineer include:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a design-based civil engineering role, with a particular emphasis on drainage
  • Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civils 3D, and InfoDrainage/MicroDrainage
  • Sound understanding of the relevant Section Agreements (e.g., S104, S106, etc.)
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to work to your own initiative, as well as part of a high-performing team
  • Ability to work well under pressure, maintaining the highest of standards at all times
  • Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Civils and Drainage Engineer include:
  • Keen interest in proactively pursuing Chartership Status
  • A Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or similar, relevant discipline)
  • Proficiency with Site3D
