Job description

We are seeking an experienced Civil Works Superintendent to join our clients team on a major decommissioning and carbon capture project in Liverpool Bay. Reporting to the Construction Site Manager, you will lead a small civil supervision team and ensure subcontractors deliver safe, efficient and compliant work on site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and enforce safe working practices and environmental protection.
  • Oversee all civil works (direct or subcontracted) to meet quality, schedule and contractual requirements.
  • Develop time schedules and coordinate labour, plant and technical resources.
  • Drive cost-effective delivery of civil construction activities, working closely with supervisors.
  • Prepare progress reports, highlight deviations, and propose corrective actions.
  • Monitor productivity and workflow, liaising with wider project disciplines.
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues on site.
  • Manage technical and administrative documentation.
  • Ensure timely MC certification and punch-list clearance.
About You
  • 15-20 years' experience in project/site-based civil roles (subcontractor management, supervision, site management).
  • Strong background in dewatering, piling, civil supervision, and team leadership.
  • Relevant technical diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability to coordinate resources, manage subcontractors and maintain high QHSE standards.
