Job summary

Winthrop Technologies Ltd. seeks an experienced Civil Supervisor to lead on-site civil works in Blyth, UK, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and quality compliance on data centre projects.

You will supervise day-to-day activities, coordinate subcontractors, review drawings, and maintain QA/QC and safety documentation, reporting to the Construction/Package Manager as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree or trade qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a Civil site supervision role.
• Experience working on Civil elements of construction projects.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and site practices.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate subcontractors and monitor site progress.
• Sound knowledge of health & safety practices on construction sites.
• Experience in data centre, industrial, or mission-critical projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day Civil site activities.
• Monitor subcontractor works to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Support the implementation of site QA/QC processes and ensure quality standards are met.
• Assist with coordinating site schedules in line with project programme.
• Track subcontractor progress and report on daily and weekly site activities.
• Ensure all subcontractor documentation, including safety documentation, is maintained and up to date.
• Attend Site Meetings, Toolbox Talks, and Safety Briefings.
• Liaise with the project team and subcontractors to resolve site coordination issues.
• Review drawings and setting out details to ensure accuracy and buildability.
• Ensure works are carried out in line with health & safety requirements at all times.
• Assist with identifying and closing out Civil snagging items.
• Report any technical, safety, or quality concerns to the Construction Manager or Package Manager.
