Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Civil / Structural Technician for our Sheffield-based engineering consultancy. You will produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings and collaborate with engineers to support the design and delivery of diverse projects.

The ideal candidate has experience in civil or structural environments, with strong AutoCAD skills and the ability to develop and coordinate engineering designs. A collaborative, detail-focused approach is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience as Civil or Structural Technician.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD and/or 3D design software.
• Understanding of civil or structural engineering principles.
• Experience producing technical drawings and construction details.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings using industry-standard CAD software.
• Work closely with engineers and other design team members.
• Prepare general arrangement drawings, details and construction information.
• Assist with development and coordination of engineering designs.
• Interpret engineering calculations and design information.
• Contribute to projects across a range of sectors.
• Ensure drawings and documentation meet technical and quality standards.
