A leading engineering firm in Manchester is seeking a Civil & Structural Design Engineer for a 6-month contract. The role involves technical solutions for Grid Access Substations and requires strong civil/structural design experience, familiarity with British and European codes, and the ability to manage client relationships. A hybrid working model is available, balancing office presence with remote work.

Rate: £45 - £50 P / hr OUTSIDE IR35
Hybrid working 3 days in office 2 days at home.
We are recruiting for a third party worker to join our clients "Civil" Design team. The role is based in Manchester and involves the production and review of technical solutions for our Grid Access Substations and HVDC Converter Stations business.
You will work in a collaborative team environment where significant interaction and coordination with other design disciplines will be prevalent on a daily basis. The selected individual shall be responsible for providing solutions and technical input to a live project. The individual will have the competence to self deliver solutions and provide governance on the proposals provided by others. The role will require skills associated with the planning and delivering work packages on time and to budget.
This is a varied role which will require a diverse but well rounded skill set. We are looking for someone who is technically excellent, reliable and with an attention to detail whilst inducing value opportunites. Predominantly the role is hybrid based, but may require occasional (infrequent) visits to site to address issues at a construction level
The role surpasses the standard requirements of a civil / structural engineer and is a necessity to service other design disciplines.
